About H.O.G.S.

HOGS (founded by Eric Strickland Jr. in 2020) began as a grassroots response to the surge in homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic, with Strickland assembling and distributing blessing bags filled with essentials like clothing, socks, and snacks to individuals experiencing homelessness. Since then, HOGS has expanded its mission by collaborating with faith-based and community organizations to bring practical support, hope, and resources to the unhoused populations of Contra Costa and San Mateo County. This work continues to address urgent local needs while fostering partnerships that amplify community impact.
